Volunteers are the backbone of our programs.
We could always use extra compassion and support.
Due to the current state of COVID in Warren County, all-volunteer activities have been suspended until further notice.
The success of Family Promise of Warren County’s programming is made possible through our generous base of volunteers and donors, who graciously give their time and money, to help families in need.
Please consider supporting our efforts to help families experiencing homelessness in our county by volunteering or making a donation today.
One of the most rewarding ways to get involved with Family Promise of Warren County (IHN) is volunteering. There are many ways to volunteer at FPWC, including meal preparation, construction, even moving furniture. For those interested in meal preparation or staying overnight with the families, contact our office to get in touch with a host or support organization.
Community Service requirements can be fulfilled at FPWC. Graduating seniors, National Honor Society Students, and others with community service requirements are all welcome. If you would like to work with us, call the office to create a schedule!
FPWC also teams up with local organizations 15-20 times a year for volunteer workdays. The types of work performed on these workdays varies greatly; volunteers can participate in construction, cleaning, holiday gift preparation, and more. Skilled and unskilled volunteers are always welcomed (and always needed!). Below you can find detailed information on how to volunteer with our Heaven & Hearth Furniture Ministry, or our East Street Renovation project. If the physical type of work is not for you, contact our office to see what other philanthropic opportunities are available.
Heaven & Hearth
The Heaven & Hearth Furniture Ministry operates every Saturday, and volunteers are always needed to assist picking up furniture, and keeping the store organized. FPWC welcomes groups of volunteers who participate on a weekly or one-time basis. Heaven & Hearth relies entirely upon the assistance of volunteers to stay in operation. If you would like to help continue to make this wonderful resource available to the community, please call the FPWC office (513) 934.5250 to set up a time.
Family Promise of Warren County (IHN) is an eligible organization for fulfilling your community service requirements. All National Honor Society and high school senior's requirements can be fulfilled with FPWC.
Additionally, some court ordered community service requirements can be fulfilled with FPWC. Those who were ordered service based off of certain types of offenses are not eligible to work with FPWC due to the nature of services offered. Contact the FPWC office to determine your eligibility.
Most community service openings are on Saturday mornings (beginning at 9 AM), but periodically there are needs throughout the week. To schedule service, contact the front office by phone.
"Not a lot of people associate good memories to the word homeless, but IHN made us feel so welcome that we HAD to give back somehow."
